Tachyon LIVE is the live, IP Streaming implementation of our legendary file-based media transformation technology that has been used to convert millions of hours of content globally. After more than a decade of honing our frame analysis, de-interlacing, and motion compensation, Tachyon has become the go-to solution for both well edited and problematic video content that needs to be distributed in different resolutions, scan type, or frame rate than what the file was originally delivered in.
Porting Tachyon™ into a live, IP Streaming solution required a transcoding/transformation platform that could perform with extremely low latencies and was robust enough to handle converting to/from different IP Streaming protocols. To fill this need we created IP-x; a Linux-based transcoding solution that can easily keep up with the frame ingest/output demands of Tachyon.
Tachyon LIVE is available today as an option in cloudSwXtch, the revolutionary virtual networking technology from SwXtch.io. cloudSwXtch combines world-class media transformation with enterprise-grade cloud networking, allowing Tachyon LIVE to be invoked on demand.
In April of 2025, Tachyon LIVE will be available in AWS marketplace, can be deployed on-premises on virtual or physical infrastructure, and can be deployed in any public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, Alibaba, etc) meeting the technical requirements.
